In a world so bustling, filled with many needs, There are souls who give, with hearts that exceed. They care for others, selfless and true, But often forget they need care too. This care nurtures children, with love and devotion, Or care that tends to parents, Stirring up some emotions. It can be a vocation, medical or spiritual care, But their own souls grow weary, seeking comfort there. Let us take care of these special souls, Who give so much, making others whole. They love with all they have, without expecting return, But rarely do they receive the care they yearn. It's time for their time, in secret and in still, To find solace with their creator, to find strength to refill. To recover and receive Respite for the soul, And in those quiet moments, to simply take back the toll. To be given an easier yoke, It can be hard to embrace, When they do, they burn brighter, shining in every space. May their souls find rest, and worry find it’s release, What a gift to allow, Time with the Prince of Peace. By Jessica Vangsnes
